How can our 35+ years as a couple and arts collective serve you? We challenge you to challenge us by submitting a question in the comments below.
What do you make of this particular moment in history? Can people talk about difficult topics and still remain friends? Is it possible to make a living making art today? Do any of us really make a difference? How do patriarchal and colonial influences affect relationships in an evolving society? Will artificial intelligence allow people to continue living on this planet? How much time do I spend in the glow of a screen versus the glow of a campfire?
These are some of the questions that run through our head. What questions run through yours? What are you struggling with? What are you curious about? How can we further the conversation?
We invite you to enter your question in the comments below. Our response may appear as an article with priority given to our Substack subscribers.
What is the most important thing you have ever learned ... so far? Not just in a school setting, but in general? I encountered this question in a professional development session led by Howard Gardner. He shared a list of responses from adult learners in diverse settings. Number 4 on that list sent shivers not just down my spine, but all over my body and I realized, "Oh, that's mine..." So here's how I finished the prompt sentence:
"The most important thing I have ever learned so far is --- how to learn."
